Thank-you" luncheon — Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office

Today the emergency service agencies of Okeechobee County received a fantastic “Thank-you” luncheon from some amazing people at the Church of God.

Members from the Okeechobee City Police, Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, and Fire – Rescue attended a BBQ luncheon and some of the best pound cakes some of us have had in a very long time.

Nearly 150 more lunches were made and delivered to our staff in dispatch, the courthouse, corrections, animal control, and administrative services that could not make it to the luncheon.

We were told that Don Whitaker deserves a special thank you and recognition for starting this idea at church. Thank you, Mr. Don; the gesture means the world to us.
