Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
Sheriff Stephen sends out a special thank you to the men and women of the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office for all they do to ensure the safety and well-being of our fellow citizens.
"The missed holidays, birthdays, first walks, family parties, tucking the kids in, family dinners, and so more that you sacrifice daily so that others can have a sense of safety is a sacrifice that does not go unseen.
