Station 41 Paramedic/Firefighter Isaac Mucklow and EMT/Firefighter Elizabeth Debree Velazquez had a very special visitor at the station last night.

Betty Murphy, escorted by her daughter Nicole Whitton, stopped by to meet the rescue crew who successfully resuscitated Betty after she went into cardiac arrest on Oct. 7. Isaac and Elizabeth were assisted by Lt. Ken Fritz and EMT/firefighter Jonathan Senft on Engine 19 during the emergency call.

As luck would have it, Rescue 41 was returning from a previous transport and was very close to the location of the emergency. After successful resuscitation, Betty was transported to a local hospital for further care.

Rescue 41 and Engine 19 crews continued their shift not knowing her long-term outcome, until last night when Betty and Nicole came to visit Station 41 to say thank you!

We absolutely love this and are so glad to see Betty doing well!
