NOTICE OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY
AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okeechobee County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will hold a Public Hearing for approval of the AHAC recommendations on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at the Okeechobee County Historic Courthouse in the “Judge William L. Hendry Courtroom”, Room 270, 304 NW 2nd Street, Okeechobee, FL. 34972.
Members will review and vote on prior meeting minutes. Incentive strategies for expedited permitting, ongoing process of review and surplus land inventory shall remain adopted according to the Committee Members. Members will review the considerations made to the current Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) and adopt additional incentive strategies as recommended. If no additional recommendations are to be made, the vote will consist of maintaining our current LHAP at this time. A copy of the LHAP and draft of the AHAC Report is available for viewing at the Historic Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 105, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Any person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purposes, he or she will need to ensure that a verbatim record of such proceedings is made, which record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
