Today is a terrific kids' day. First, we showed the Cohen kids their amazing gesture to the weekend road patrol crew. And now we want to thank a fantastic young lady, Miss Brystol Grant.
Two days before her birthday, her parents said Brystol decided she wanted to do an event on her birthday weekend that would benefit the animals at the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office Animal Rescue.
So over the weekend, on her birthday, Miss Brystol, her sister Dancia, and Brylee Triplett stood out in front of Publix and Tractor Supply all day, collecting monies and donations to buy supplies and food for all of the animals at the shelter.
The first picture is Sheriff Noel E. Stephen, Dancia & Brystol Grant, and Animal Control Supervisor of Operations, Mrs. Amy Fisher.
The food she is sitting on is the donations she collected over the weekend, a picture of the kids' on-site collection, and we waived all the adoption fees for her birthday; and Miss Brystol took home a forever fur baby she named "Rescue" in the last pic.
Let's do two things: acknowledge this fantastic young lady and wish her the happiest of 11th birthdays she could ever ask for.
