The Board will hold the initial public hearing on the budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 in the Highlands County Government Center board chambers, 600 S. Commerce Ave.
The final public hearing on the budget at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 in the Highlands County Government Center board chambers, 600 S. Commerce Ave., where it will vote on the adoption of the budget to include the actual millage rate, Capital Financial Strategy (CFS) and County Fee Schedule for FY 22-23.
These hearings give the public the chance to participate in and influence the budget process at the county level.
