OKEECHOBEE COUNTY ANNOUNCES DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND ROAD CLOSURE
AT WESTBOUND NE 144th DRIVE (Potter Road)

Okeechobee County has scheduled a road closure at westbound NE 144th Drive (Potter Road) to install a new headwall to improve stormwater drainage within the area. Traffic will be detoured from NE 144th Drive (Potter Road) at Cane Field Ditch to NW 30th Terrace during the road closure.

The road closure Is scheduled for Thursday, July 7, 2022 with periodic lane closures on Wednesday, July 6 and Friday, July 8, 2022 (weather permitting).

This project is being completed by the county’s contractor and the entire project is expected to be completed by October/November 2022.

A LED Message Board advising of the closure will be installed prior to the project start date to provide the public advanced notice.
