Highlands County Board of County Commissioners, Government issued the following announcement on November 14.
Bulk waste is household items, such as couches, coffee tables, bed frames and more, that are too large to fit in the provided blue cart. Extra garbage bags are not considered bulk waste. There is a 2 cubic yard maximum. Please note: Construction and demolition debris will not be picked up with bulk waste.
Bulk waste and yard waste are collected on alternating weeks on your scheduled collection day.
