Hendry County, Florida issued the following announcement on September 7.
Port LaBelle Utility System To Intermittently Shut Water Off In Country Village Subdivision For The Replacement Of Fire Hydrants
LaBelle, Fla. – Port LaBelle Utility System will be shutting off water for a planned fire hydrant exchange. Hendry County’s Contractor, Strickler Bros. Underground Inc. will be replacing fire hydrants throughout the Country Village subdivision. The water will be off from 11am – 2pm for a total of three hours per day.
• Monday, September 13th
• Tuesday, September 14th
• Wednesday, September 15th
Residents will also be under a precautionary boil water notice starting Monday September 13th. The Port LaBelle Utility System will notify all customers when the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted.
The interruptions will also affect the Florida Southwestern State College campus in LaBelle.
