Highlands County Board of County Commissioners, Government issued the following announcement on August 27.
Many have asked to know the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in our community. This is the information we have been given today and we want to share it with you.
Local health department officials said a daily record was set Tuesday (8/24) with 270 positive cases reported.
If you are sick, or taking care of someone who has COVID, or live in the same household as someone who has COVID, please stay home.
