Okeechobee Main Street, Inc. recently issued the following announcement.
The Arts & Culture Alliance Committee of Okeechobee Main Street has been a leader in the arts, for 15 years and it began with our annual Top of the Lake Art Fest in 2007. This 2-day event is held in February in Flagler Park is a juried art show. The purpose of this art fest is to bring talented artists to our community.
The art fest also features the annual Top of the Lake Chalk Walk (street painting), sand sculpture, local adult & student artists, food, entertainment, art demonstrations and children's art programs both days in the park. The event also features the Taste of Okeechobee that takes place on the first night of the art fest.
The arts and cultural programs we support inspire creativity, learning and strengthen the fabric of our community. The Top of the Lake Art Fest is our biggest celebration of the arts to provide opportunity for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to discover and embrace the arts!
