For the first quarter of 2026, Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Ce placed among the three largest nursing homes in Palm Beach County and shared the position with Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Isles of Boynton Nursing and Rehab Center, as reported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The center had 180 available beds—66 more than the Palm Beach County average during this period—and cared for an average of 174.1 residents.
The CMS gave Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Ce an overall rating of 4 out of 5, which surpasses the Florida nursing home average of 3.3 for the same period.
The Joseph L Morse Health Center, Inc. was the county’s largest nursing facility with 230 beds, while Darcy Hall of Life Care ranked second with 220 beds for the quarter.
Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Ce recorded no fines or penalties in the first quarter of 2026.

Estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show continued growth in the older adult population alongside declines in younger age groups. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans ages 65 and older rose by 13%, while the population under 18 declined by 1.7%. The nation’s population age 65 and older has increased steeply over the past 100 years, from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.
A 2021 study indicates that around half of this demographic, or approximately 28 million people, are likely to need long-term services and support. The study also anticipates that more than a third may ultimately require nursing home care.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
