IMMEDIATE OPENING

OKEECHOBEE UTILITY AUTHORITY (OUA) has an immediate opening for a Meter Reader.  Applicant must be willing and able to perform light to heavy physical labor, courteous and professional in dealing with general public and fellow workers.  Applicant must have neat and legible handwriting, basic mathematical skills and possess a high school diploma or the equivalent.  This position will entail working outside with the reading, installation and repairs of water meters.  Applicant must possess a valid FL Operator’s Driver’s License (requires clean driving record for the last three years).
